Tim Dennison is a tenor based in Kansas City, Missouri. In August 2023, he sang his first opera role, Dancaïro, in Bizet's Carmen with Lawrence Opera Theatre. In the 2022-2023 season, he was the tenor soloist in Dieterich Buxtehude’s Membra Jesu nostri with St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Kansas City, he sang in the chorus of Giuseppe Verdi’s Il trovatore with Kansas City Festival Opera, and he sang in the chorus and covered the role of Capitaine Ricardo in Massenet’s Chérubin with UMKC Conservatory. In the 2021-2022 season, Tim made his opera debut in the choruses of Handel’s Acis and Galatea and Mozart’s Così fan tutte, also with UMKC Conservatory. Tim has always found joy in singing, even at a very young age. His mother recalls of a time when he sang Phantom of the Opera at age four while sitting on his dad’s shoulders at the zoo. Tim earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in May 2023. He is a private student of Dr. Maria Kanyova.
